A LAND Rover Discovery has been stolen and set on fire, causing more than £100,000 worth of damage to a farm in Salisbury.
Police say “unknown suspects” stole a grey 2003 Land Rover Defender from The Great Durnford Estate between 9pm on October 10 and 6am on October 11.
The burnt-out vehicle was found at around 6.30am in a hay store at Longford Farm in Odstock. A haystack was set on fire, and an excavator and farm gates were damaged.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen and set on fire, causing upwards of £100k worth of damage to a farm in Salisbury.
“This car was driven around south Wiltshire and it was located at around 6.30am burnt out in a hay store at Longford Farm, Odstock.
“The suspects set fire to a haystack, causing upwards of £100k worth of damage, as well as damage to an excavator and multiple farm gates.”
