A DORSET library has announced it is closing for improvement works.
Verwood Library will be closed to customers for six days while essential building works take place next month.
The library will be closed from November 18 – 23.
New technology will be installed which will allow library members to use library facilities beyond staffed opening hours.
Customers are encouraged to visit nearby libraries such as Ferndown, West Moors and Wimborne.
The upcoming works are funded by Arts Council England and are part of a wider project to launch extended access at four Dorset libraries.
Cllr Ryan Hope, portfolio holder for customer, culture and community engagement at Dorset Council said: “We’re really pleased to be able to improve the facilities for our customers at Verwood Library thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
“We know the residents will benefit significantly from the investment and expansion of opening times once the work has been completed.”
