THE Salisbury Cathedral lightbulb has been changed - an event that takes place just once every four years.

The changing of the lightbulb saw Salisbury Cathedral's clerk of works Gary Price climb up inside the 123m spire before exiting via a small door to make the final ascent on the outside.

In 2010, former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton climbed the spire to change the lightbulb, awarding steeplejack Brian Moors with a Blue Peter badge for his assistance.
