A plaque in commemoration of the twinning between Fordingbridge and Vimoutiers is to be restored.
Fordingbridge Town Council has cleared away the undergrowth surrounding the Normandy Way plaque, leaving only a fresh coat of paint needed to make the wording legible once more.
The next event by Fordingbridge Twinning is a "music, dance, and food evening" on October 26 at 7.30pm at Fordingbridge Town Hall.
Tickets, priced at £15 per person, include a buffet supper featuring traditional produce from Vimoutiers.
These are available from Caxton's Decor and Jessica's.
Members of the twinning association will visit Vimoutiers' annual Foire de la Pomme festival for inspiration.
Vimoutiers is the centre of France’s apple industry, producing the bulk of the country's cider, Calvados, and apple tarts.
