BURGLARS stole a Nissan X-Trail car from a Salisbury property in an overnight break-in – but the vehicle was later recovered by police and returned to its owner.
The burglary took place in Eyres Way at around 3.50am on Thursday, September 12.
Police say two unknown suspects are believed to have entered the property and taken the keys to the vehicle, which was later found on Milford Mill Road.
Officers have appealed for members of the public to contact them if they saw anything suspicious.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Eyres Way, Salisbury, in which a car was stolen.
“The occupants found their grey Nissan X-Trail to have been taken. The vehicle was tracked to Milford Mill Road where it was recovered and returned to its owner.
“If you saw anything suspicious or have information that could help with our enquiries please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54240107809.
