AN 11-year-old girl has sustained minor injuries after she was hit by a driver that failed to stop at a red light in Amesbury.
The incident took place at around 3.40pm yesterday (October 15) on London Road. The car involved is believed to be a silver Mercedes A-class.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them. They have also thanked members of the public who stopped to help the girl.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “A silver car, believed to be a Mercedes A-class, travelling from the direction of Tesco Extra towards Amesbury town centre has failed to stop at a red light, colliding with a child.
“We believe the area was very busy at the time and we would like to thank the members of the public helped the child.
