READERS are queuing up High Street to meet their favourite author as her latest book is released.
A.F Steadman, author of the Skandar series, came to Salisbury Waterstones on Tuesday, October 15 for a book signing of her latest book: Skandar and the Skeleton Curse.
The book is the fourth of a five part series, and has been eagerly awaited by fans since the previous book, Skandar and the Chaos Trials, came out in April.

In an interview with the Journal, Steadman said: “The last book ended in a very explosive way, very dramatic. This book is the most dramatic I have written, from the first chapter it’s edge of your seat - and page turning.”
Her book signings are known to attract hundreds, queuing hours to meet her and have one of her books signed.
The signing began at 4.30pm and the picture was taken at approximately 5.30pm.
Evelyn, 11, and Charlene, 40, (above) went along.
Charlene said: “Evie reads the series, so she wanted to come down to get the new book signed. We weren’t expecting the queue to be this long: we’ve been here just over an hour now. Hopefully they stay open! They said they were going to stay open just past half five. (This was at 5.50)
“There were rumours in the queue that there might be a film coming, so it will be interesting to see if she’s sold the book rights!”
Nicola Wakefield (44) with Eddie (11) also joined the queue.
Eddie says he loves the books and can’t wait to read the new one.
Nicola said: “He read all three books in about three weeks, so it’s been a long wait for this one, he felt!“
