QUIZZERS have raised more than £6,000 for the Salisbury Hospice Charity.
The charity held its annual corporate gala quiz on Friday (October 11) at Salisbury Arts Centre – and the organisers say it ‘exceeded all expectations’.
The quiz was sponsored by Trethowans Solicitors in partnership with Salisbury Radio, and Wiltshire Creative were the round sponsors.
Quizmaster Andy Munns led groups of local businesses through eight entertaining yet challenging rounds, covering a wide range of topics including 80s culture, sport, general knowledge and music.
The evening also consisted of a delicious fish and chip supper, supplied by Britz Fish & Chips, and a raffle and auction.
Jeremy Lamond from Woolley & Wallis Salesrooms served as the charity auctioneer.
Bidding for the charity's ‘Sell Your Home for FREE’ auction lot, donated by Northwood Estate Agents, has been extended until October 31.
After the event, corporate fundraiser Louise Compton said: “The corporate gala quiz was a great success, and it was inspiring to see so many new local businesses participate this year.
“We’re incredibly proud to have raised a significant amount for Salisbury Hospice.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone for their unwavering support, generous donations, and commitment to making the night a success.
“I strongly encourage businesses to secure their spot early for next year’s corporate gala quiz on Friday, October 17!"
Businesses can reserve their tables for next year's event by emailing Louise at Louise@salisburyhospicecharity.org.uk.
