PREMISES for a former private members club that closed earlier this year are on the market.

2-4 Salt Lane, the former site of Salisbury Cycling & Social Club, has been listed on the market for £250,000 by estate agents Myddelton and Major.

The club closed down after 139 years of operation, having started in 1885.

Secretary Brian Davies told the Journal in July: "The membership has dropped over the years and I don’t think it helped when Covid struck. We lost some members - a lot of our members are in their 70s and 80s."

The Grade II listed building includes a main function room with a bar, beer cellar, toilets, first floor function room and committee room, all arranged over ground and first floors across 3028 sq ft of floorspace.
