A COMMUNITY radio station held an outside broadcast to support hospital charity shops.
Volunteers from Radio Odstock, Salisbury District Hospital and Community Radio Station held an outside broadcast on Monday, October 7 to support League of Friends Sweetshop and Stars Appeal Bookshop inside the main entrance of the hospital.
Mayor Sven said: "A great privilege to be invited to meet Radio Odstock's outside broadcast team in support of the League of Friends Sweetshop and Stars Appeal Bookshop in the Foyer of Salisbury District Hospital on Monday 7th October.

"A big thank you to Chris Emm for hosing me, and to all the volunteers who make this happen. They must have liked me as I have been asked to come back and MC a slot on their Thursday night rock show sometime in November, so I'll be keeping a few people up late that night!"
Guests included chief operating officer for Salisbury Hospital Niall Prosser; local author Angie Langley, mayor of Salisbury cllr Sven Hocking, 12-year-old Edie Patrick who raised £671 for the wildlife charity Free to be Wild and five children from Tops Day Nursery who drew pictures of the Radio Odstock mascot, Oddie the Octopus.
Presenter Kev Lawrence chatted live on air with hospital staff, the volunteers within the shops and members of the community visiting the hospital.
