A Wiltshire church held a harvest celebration featuring a drama and activities for children.
St Michael the Archangel Church in Mere marked the occasion on Sunday, October 6, with a performance titled Seeds of the Harvest.
The drama depicted a hungry dummy bird menacingly circling seeds planted in less-than-ideal soil.
The performance was well-received by the congregation.
The service also catered to younger members, with a designated area for children who collected donations for Mere Foodbank during the second hymn.

After the service, which lasted less than 40 minutes, attendees were served coffee.
The church is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new vicar, Reverend Michael Molano.
Efforts are being made to make the church community more inclusive.
Described as the "Notre-Dame of Mere," St Michael the Archangel boasts a rich historical interior.
Its 15th-century Parclose screen, intricately carved Jacobean pews, an alabaster tablet dating back to 1375, and medieval glass in the South Chapel draw visitors from far and wide.
The church's rich heritage and historic artefacts are a significant part of its appeal.
As the church community prepares for its new leadership, the congregation continues to celebrate its traditions while embracing new elements to engage its members.
