An obstacle course experience inspired by real-world rescue missions will take place in Wiltshire.

Rescue Racing, a challenge-based event designed by the company Dark Swan, will raise funds for the Wiltshire-based charity Serve On.

The inaugural event takes place on Saturday, October 19, and participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to join.

The course, measuring 1.5 miles at Serve On's training headquarters in Chilmark, SP3 5BP, is not just a test of physical endurance but also teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Those who prefer a more relaxed pace can stroll the course, watch the action unfold, and support fellow competitors.

The first briefing for competitors on the day will be at 9.30am, with racing kicking off at 10am.

Marshals from Dark Swan and Serve On will be on hand to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event.

The rescue racing event is a new venture for Serve On, a charity that prepares volunteers for global disaster response.

Competitors will step into the shoes of rescue operators, navigating strategic challenges inspired by Serve On's rigorous training programmes.
