I attended the Salisbury NHS AGM last week and heard plans were in place to appoint a new group level of management over Salisbury and two other trusts namely Bath and Swindon.
I understand that it is the intention to bring greater collaboration between the three hospitals.

But this kind of decision typically involves strategic planning organizational restructuring and significant changes in service delivery and governance which can have a substantial impact on the healthcare services provided by those trusts.
May I ask when us the public were consulted about this and why these three stand alone trust that are literally and strategically poles apart were chosen?
I cannot see any advantage to Salisbury and District in making any changes such as this and wonder what other readers think about the future of our health care and the potential for us and our wonderful hospital.
