Dating back to 1227, when King Henry III granted a charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October, the event remains a treasured annual tradition, with its lively atmosphere and diverse array of food and games providing entertainment for all ages in the heart of the city.
The fair will be open from 2pm until 9pm on Sunday, and then 11am until 10pm Monday through Wednesday.
A mix of attractions will be on offer, including fairground classics such as the carousel, dodgems and waltzer. For thrill-seekers, the return of ‘Oxygen’ will bring adrenaline-pumping excitement, alongside a variety of other exhilarating rides.
There will also offer a range of family-friendly rides and stalls, with pricing for children’s rides set at just £2.50 before 6pm.
