A community transport service has expanded its fleet with a new 16-seater minibus.
Tisbury District Community Minibus (TISBUS), a volunteer-run organisation, has received its first new bus in five years, bringing its fleet back to four vehicles.
Established in 2000, TISBUS aims to provide transport for members in the Tisbury area and reduce isolation.
The new bus, acquired through grants and donations from Wiltshire County Council, Link, and Tisbury and Donhead St Mary Parish Councils, is also wheelchair accessible.
It has been fitted with a tail lift for wheelchair users.
The new bus is the second in the TISBUS fleet to have this feature.
TISBUS minibuses are often seen in Salisbury, having brought members into town for shopping trips.
They are also used for outings to garden centres and country houses.
To become a member, individuals must live in or near Tisbury.
The organisation is also on the lookout for new drivers.
Volunteers need to have a sense of community spirit, patience, and confidence in driving a minibus.
No additional driving test is required.
Further details can be found on the TISBUS website.
The organisation, which started with a single second-hand bus, continues to fulfil its mission of helping the community with transport needs.
