On the first anniversary of the loss of his life, firefighters will commemorate their friends' life with a walk for charity.
Firefighters from Pewsey Fire Station and Salisbury Fire Station are walking in memory of their colleague, Mark Hillier, who lost his life last year.
Watch Manager at Salisbury Green Watch and on-call Watch Manager at Pewsey, Mark was responding to his pager when he died.
In a statement to the Journal, Mark's family said: "On Saturday, October 12 will be the first anniversary of T/SM Mark Hillier’s death in a road traffic collision whilst responding to his pager when he died.
"To remember him and to celebrate his life, Mark’s family, fire station colleagues and friends are taking part in a memorial walk from Salisbury fire station to Pewsey on Saturday 12th October."
Mark's family, friends and colleagues are going to walk between his two stations, a distance which is approximately 30 miles.

The Fire Fighters Charity was set-up in the Second World War, with donation of just £24 to support the bereaved families of firefighters who had died during the Blitz.
Today they provide support to firefighters, their families and the extended community by providing proactive health and wellbeing information and lifestyle advice.
The charity also provides residential programmes, as well as digital support, to give beneficiaries the physical and psychological support they need.
