A bike ride is looking to raise money for a youth charity.
Sarum Vision is undertaking a gruelling ride to raise money for Rise:61, a youth charity.
The team will be riding a challenging route of 150 miles through, Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
In preparation for the big ride, Consultant Eye Surgeon Naeem Haq took the opportunity to get his bike checked over by young enthusiasts at Rise:61.
"It’s great to see young people engaged in learning life skills, I’m so impressed with the dedication and support Rise:61 offers young people on the estate, the work they do is invaluable, " he said.
Naeem continued: "We are thrilled to be supporting Rise:61 through our charity bike ride, and with that, the hope to make Salisbury a place of opportunity for young people."
Rise:61 supports young people in and around Bemerton Heath, in the north-west of Salisbury, by tackling lack of opportunity and mental health crises.
As a charity Rise:61 engages and supports young people with after school activities and provides those struggling with mainstream education an alternative.
The charity has been helping young people learn how to fix and maintain bikes, gaining AQA awards in the process.
Rise:61Co-Founder and Director Robin Imeson said: "We are chuffed that a local business chose a small local charity like ours to support.
"All the funds raised will go a long way in supporting our work and the young people we come alongside, and journey with through their formative years."
The Sarum Vision Charity Bike Ride takes place at the end of September.
