An independent school in Salisbury is inviting prospective sixth form students to an open day next month.

Godolphin School is inviting prospective students and parents to the sixth form information evening on Friday, October 11.

The school said the event will give people the opportunity to find out more about the sixth form, meet staff and pupils and learn more about its "exceptional academic and co-curricular offerings".

Next year, the sixth form will welcome boys for the first time as part of the school's move to co-education.

"Our Bright Futures Programme and strong alumni network ensure students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie beyond school.

"We’re excited to welcome new students and from 2025, to embrace the benefits of co-education, creating an even richer, more diverse learning environment."

The school is celebrating a year of success after 87 per cent of their 2024 leavers secured a university place, including placements at international universities such as Tufts University and IE University, Madrid.

Some students opted to earn degree apprenticeships at companies including Dyson, Google, Roke, and Thales.

This year, 77 per cent of the school's A-level students achieved A*-B grades.

The school's alumni play a role in supporting current students through the Bright Futures Programme, which includes the Find Your Futures series.

These sessions allow current students to network with alumni across various professions, offering valuable guidance for life beyond school.

The school offers scholarships for incoming students who excel in academics, art, drama, music, and sport, and bursaries are also available through a means testing process.

To find out more about Godolphin Sixth and the opportunities available, people are invited to join the information evening on Friday, October 11.
