A pumpkin patch on the edge of the New Forest is running its annual pick your own event - this year featuring a crime investigation.
Picking Patch in Fordingbridge is located at Bickton Manor Farm, SP6 2HA - just off the A338.
This year, a storyline will follow a crime that has been committed at Bickton Manor Farm and a call has gone out to all detectives, sleuths and nosey parkers to come and assist in finding the culprit.

Participants can obtain a detective’s clue book - the key to following the trail to the jail and solving the case.
A spokesperson said: “Thankfully no pumpkins were harmed during this incident”
If crime investigation is not your thing (or you have already solved the case), you can wander the spooky fields which have been decorated for Halloween, with Picking Patch’s Exclusive handmade props - taking the best Halloween shots whilst exploring.
Creep past the witch’s house and avoid her spells, through the poison garden, and into The Patch, for PYO Pumpkins (including more than 20 varieties of pumpkin).
A witch crafts emporium will provide wands, masks and hats for Halloween outfits, and a pop-up escape room will feature for those up for a challenge.
Hot chocolate and marshmallow toasting will also be available.
The events will run on: October 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 25-31, between 9.30am to 5pm.
Tickets are free, but activities are priced separately. These can be purchased HERE
