Organisers of a carnival dubbed this year's event 'unbelievably successful,' as thousands gathered to take part and watch.
This weekend's Ringwood Carnival was a great success, according to organisers, who hosted a packed event.
The carnival activities included a parade, which wound through the town, live music, a fire show, a mini train ride and darts.
Speaking to the Journal, the Carnival Chairman said: "Ringwood Carnival was an unbelievably successful day, where thousands of people visited Ringwood to enjoy a festival of fun. As always, there was incredible community spirit.
"There was fantastic participation in our processions, and many discovering a whole host of entertainment throughout the town - from live music sessions and street entertainment, to stunt bike displays and mini steam engine rides."
They continued: "The atmosphere was electric, our little market town should be very proud indeed."
The first Ringwood Carnival took place in 1928, and it was originally set up to purchase local land and help the Royal Victoria and West Hants Hospital.
In following years, the carnival even hosted visits from the Coldstream Guards.
Following the Second World War, there has been a carnival in Ringwood every year since 1950.
