A retired teacher has written a murder mystery book series set in Salisbury.

Wendy Boynton, 64, began writing four years ago during the Covid lockdown and has now completed three books in her series, The Salisbury Murders.

The first book, The Mystery of the Missing Brooch, is set in a fictional care home in Harnham and follows the detecting duo of 81-year-old resident Meg Thornton and 19-year-old care assistant Lauren Peachy.

Wendy said: "I lived in the Salisbury area (Fordingbridge, Winterslow, Porton, Winterbourne Earls, and Totton) between 1984 and 2010.

"When I started writing, I naturally wanted to set my books in Salisbury."
