A car has flipped onto its roof after an accident this morning.
At around 8am on Tuesday, September 17, a car flipped onto its roof on Pettridge Lane, Mere following an accident.
Police and fire crews arrived on the scene at 8.50am as well as PCC Philip Wilkinson, who was seen talking to neighbours who had witnessed the incident.
A dramatic photo taken by George Jeans shows debris across the road, and the windows of the vehicle smashed.
One person was released from the vehicle by emergency services and another person managed to leave the car themselves.
A spokesperson from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to Pettridge Lane, Mere at 8.12am today (17 September) where a car was on its roof.
"Two crews attended, from Gillingham and Wincanton, and one person was released from the vehicle. A second person had got out by themselves before we arrived. Our stop was at 8.50am."
Wiltshire Police has been contacted.
