A new Korean-Japanese restaurant chain is coming to Salisbury.

Restaurant chain Kokoro will be bringing their Korean-Japanese fusion to Queen Street, in Salisbury’s city centre.

In their planning application, the company state they want to, "to set up and provide a sushi café that also offers a range of freshly made hot food with a Japanese and Korean influence.

"With the aim to benefit customers looking for an alternative to the day-to-day pasta, sandwiches or salads. Set within a clean, fresh and well presented interior."

In addition to proposals to repair and redecorate the interior and exterior of the property, Kokoro's application includes a new kitchen.

The company assert that they prepare their fresh food daily and  in-house.

Kokoro's website says the key to success is very simple: you keep food tasty, fresh, and healthy.

The company's name, 'Kokoro,' roughly translates from Japanese as, 'heart, mind or soul.'

The chain was founded a decade ago, in Staines-Upon-Thames, Surrey, and it now has over 50 locations across the UK.
