A golf day that helped to raise money for local charities this week was a 'hole -in-one' for organisers, as the event saw its highest turnout yet.
The Business and Charity Golf Day was held at the Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club on Tuesday 10th September.
Organisers called this years event a 'tremendous success' and, while this year's money raised is still being calculated, the event has so far raised more than £40,000 for local charities.
Co-organiser Liam McConnell, Managing Director of ReQuire Consultancy, said: "This year saw our largest turnout yet with 20 teams from local businesses participating at South Wilts Golf Club.
"Several other local firms showed their support through tee sponsorship and raffle prize donations."
Liam added: "The event has gained great momentum over the years, and we’re fortunate to have such a strong following."
Alongside Liam, fellow organisers Derek Gibbens, Karen Clarkson, and Tim Deacon expressed gratitude to all who contributed.
This year’s beneficiaries were: The Salisbury Hospice; The Stars Appeal; Wiltshire Air Ambulance; and Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
