The dreaded Friday the 13th is here - a day commonly seen as unlucky.
The number 13 and the day Friday both are seen to bring bad luck, so this date is feared by all who are superstitious.

Black cats are also often associated with bad luck, making them the least often adopted breed from animal shelters. On the other hand, the RSPCA states that 'in the early 19th century, sailors believed them to be symbols of good luck and that they could protect ships from dangerous weather'.
Many Journal readers own black cats, and shared them with us this week in light of the upcoming 'unlucky' day.
