A CAR crashed and landed on its side causing a residential road to be closed by police.

Part of Roman Road, near Roberts Road, was closed on Tuesday night, September 10, after a driver found themself horizontal.

The driver was reported for driving without insurance.

An eyewitness spotted one police car but said there were no other emergency vehicles on the scene when they walked past at 10pm.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At around 8.25pm on Tuesday we responded after a vehicle collided with a parked car in Roman Road, Salisbury, before rolling onto its side.

“There were no reported injuries.

“The driver, a woman in her 30s, was reported for driving without insurance.”

It comes just over two months after a Hyundai IX20 driver rolled onto its side on Castle Road, A345, causing a large amount of traffic disruption.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service confirmed it did not attend the incident.
