THESE seven people, who live in and near Salisbury, were recently sentenced in court.

Robert Bolton, 40, of Stratford Road, racially harassed police constable Broadberry in Salisbury on October 21 last year.

The 40-year-old, who pleaded guilty, was fined £130 and ordered to pay the officer £75 compensation by Salisbury Magistrates' Court on September 5.

Bolton must also pay £50 court costs and a £56 surcharge, bringing his total owed to £311.

George Brown, 38, of Pullman Drive, Bemerton Heath, was banned from driving for three years for drug driving in Amesbury.

Brown drove a Ford Transit along Moyne Gardens on February 16 while an illegal amount of cannabis and the breakdown of cocaine was in his system.

A blood test revealed 4.1 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) and 84 micrograms of Benzolyecgonine per litre of Brown's blood. The legal limit for cannabis is 2 mcg and 50 mcg for Benzo.

Magistrates sentenced Brown to a 12-month community order during which he must complete 20 rehabilitation activity days.

As part of Brown's sentence, he must provide samples to the probation service for six months. He was also fined £140 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.

Richard Hubbard, 54 , of no fixed address but formerly of Salisbury, breached a three-year restraining order between January 1 and December 4 last year in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Hubbard, who pleaded guilty to harassment, sent multiple emails and made telephone calls to his wife which he was prohibited from doing so.

Magistrates fined Hubbard £140 and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £56 surcharge. Another restraining order is in place until August 4, 2026.

Simon Hider, 33, of River Way, Durrington, harassed a woman on Discord, TikTok and Facebook between April 7 and April 24.

He pleaded guilty to harassment without violence and was fined £246.

A restraining order was imposed preventing him from contacting the victim or attending Skew Bridge Road.

Hider was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £98 surcharge.

Josh Lister,  of West Street, Wilton, was the keeper of an unlicenced Peugeot on February 10.

The previous licence expired on November 25, 2023, and the annual rate of duty was £320.

Lister was found guilty, fined £220 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £53.34 by Swindon Magistrates' Court on September 6.

He also had to pay £200 court costs.

Nathan Egerton, 30, of Spiders Island, Alderbury, breached a non-molestation order on July 7.

He was sentenced to a community order which required him to complete eight rehabilitation days and pay £140. Egerton must also pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.

A restraining order was imposed preventing Egerton from contacting the victim or going to an address in Ludgershall.

Jamie Wells, of Lode Hill Caravan Site, Downton, was found to be the registered keeper of a Mercedes-Benz which did not meet the insurance requirements on March 6.

Wells was proved guilty in his absence by Swindon Magistrates' Court which fined him £220 and ordered him to pay £200 costs as well as a £88 surcharge.
