IMPROVEMENT works to Salisbury Coach Park are expected to finish this week, nearly two months later than the contractor's initial aim.
The resurfacing works are part of the Salisbury River Park project, a £27m Government-funded scheme to reduce the city's risk of flooding which began on August 12, 2022.
Kier, which is carrying out the River Park project, encountered numerous set backs, including a sewage leak and wet weather, which have pushed the completion date back.

Andy Wallis, from the Environment Agency, said: “The initial aim was to have the coach park open at the end of July. Due to some delays, mainly relating to issues with underground services, that was moved to mid August.
"The main coach park itself is complete and ready to open, but unfortunately some of the areas around the coach park, in particular the footpath areas surrounding it, were not complete."
The footpath areas were delayed due to difficulties in sourcing the correct coloured tarmac, plus it can only be laid when it's dry.
The Environment Agency made the joint decision with Wiltshire Council not to open the coach park until all the work is finished.
“ The work is all due to be completed this week and then the coach park will be able to open very soon afterwards," said Mr Wallis.
"This will include reopening the road bridge over the river and the overflow coach park.”
