"The sunshine of Kimberley East" has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Heather Ivermee turned 100 on September 9, 2024, surrounded by friends and carers of Kimberley East care centre on Tollgate Road.
She moved into the care home in 2021 but was born in Cardiff, growing up with her brother and sister and eventually living in Coombe Bissett.

Heather worked as an accountant, but enjoyed horse riding and gardening in her free time, as well as gaining certificates in aromatherapy and massaging.
At her birthday celebrations, she enjoyed a glass of bubbly, cake and 100 cards to mark the big day, as well as thoughtfully chosen gifts from her carers.
She received a framed picture of her and her mother from when she was a baby, as well as floral bedding and a large canvas of the seaside, to remind her of her past love of travelling.
Most special was the letter from the King and Queen, and Heather was delighted to receive it in the post. She was particularly excited to see Queen Camilla's name.
Welfare carer Kaz said: "In her own words, where she says 'everyone is her sunshine', Heather is the sunshine of Kimberley East."
The cake was cut, and she enjoyed a slice while her favourite song, 'You Are My Sunshine', was played and sung.
