SAFER and Supportive Salisbury ran a special event to help people who might be living on a limited budget.
'Thriving on a Shoestring' took place at Salisbury Guildhall on Thursday, September 5, and was free to enter.
It was aimed at helping people pick up ideas and tips to be able to ‘thrive’ on a limited budget.
There were live cooking demonstrations all afternoon from two local chefs James Butterfield and Fiona Ollerhead with advice and tips on cooking from scratch, making the most of leftovers and a ‘Challenge the Chef’ with a Ready, Steady, Cook! box from the local foodbank.
There was also a harvest sharing table and information on Salisbury Foodbank, Salisbury Pantry and Old Sarum and Longhedge Community Pantry.
The Salisbury Soroptimists were on hand to serve tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits all afternoon.
