A GYM has reopened following a three-week transformation.
Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre reopened its newly refurbished gym on Monday, September 2.
Funded by Wiltshire Council's ongoing investment in its leisure facilities, the fitness suite's interior has been overhauled and new flooring installed.
Gym users have been able to use the temporary gym located in the sports hall during the three-week closure.
Customers will benefit from modern gym equipment, with exciting additions such as an SkiErg machine, curved treadmills, tyre flip, a plate-loaded hip thrust, air bike and a gym sled track.
People wishing to take part in a detailed show round of the gym and familiarise themselves with the new equipment can book in for group induction sessions led by fitness consultants.
Sessions are bookable online at leisure.wiltshire.gov.uk/LhWeb/en/Public or at reception.
Councillor Ian Blair-Pilling, cabinet member for leisure, thanked customers for their patience while the work took place.
He said: “We are really excited to show our customers the new and improved gym at Five Rivers.
"We’re sure that they will agree that the new facilities offer some of the highest quality fitness opportunities in the local area, with really in-demand and coveted equipment now available.
“We want to encourage more people to prioritise their health and wellbeing and increase their activities, whilst also offering good value and safe, well-maintained buildings, which is why we are investing significantly in our fitness facilities across the county."
A membership offer is available until Sunday, September 15, to encourage people to try the new facilities.
Specific Life Zone, Fitness Zone and Swim Zone direct debit memberships are offering no admin fees plus no membership fees to pay until October.
Full details are available at wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-five-rivers.
Works to upgrade the main studio and the cycle studio to include a virtual group exercise class platform have also recently been completed at the centre, giving customers more choice and flexibility.
The health suite located in the gym changing room area, will also reopen to the public from 12pm today.
The facilities, which include a sauna and steam room, have been closed since early 2023 due to rising cost and have reopened on a trial basis.
