A MAN who attacked a police officer has been sentenced to unpaid work.
Alin Fesa, of Travelodge, Countess Road, Amesbury, beat police constable Alexander Heath while he was trying to carry out his job in Salisbury on August 3.
The 30-year-old indicated a guilty plea and was sentenced to a year-long community order at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on August 23.

As part of this order, Fesa must complete 60 hours of unpaid work and comply with up to 10 activity days with the probation service.
The court awarded £50 of compensation to PC Heath and said the offence was aggravated as the person Fesa attacked was an emergency worker.
Fesa was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £114 by September 25.
