THOUSANDS of people flocked to Durrington Recreation ground for a bank holiday weekend party.
The annual Retro at the Rec and Sunday Funday, organised by local DJ Disco Dion Spencer and wife Emma, returned on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25.
Crowds were treated to an evening of music and dancing with Dion and DJ Paul Alex on the Saturday night and a jam packed afternoon with fun, games, dancing, performances and races in the arena on the Sunday.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the party was complete plenty of stalls, car boot sellers, inflatables, rides, face painting and lovely food for everyone to enjoy.
Dion and Emma thought it may be the last however after seeing how it brings the community together and how much fun was had they have decided to keep going.
The couple said: "We want to say a massive thank you to the Sunday Funday team, all the stallholders, vendors and especially everyone that came to support.
"The monies made will be donated to local groups and charities.
"The team are looking for sponsors for the event so it can keep on growing and hope to make next years even bigger and better!"
