A SALISBURY driver has been told they must pay more than £602 after failing to complete a breathalyser test.
Jinson Devassy, 40 and of 45 St Edmund's Church Street, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
On, July 10, in Salisbury, when suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen or specimens of breath for analysis by means of a device of a type approved by the Secretary of State pursuant to section 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 in the course of an investigation into whether Devassy had committed an offence under section 3A, 4, 5 or 5A thereof, failed without reasonable excuse to do so. 'Contrary to section 7(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Devassy has been disqualified for 12 months, reduced by three months.
They also have to pay a £369 fine, as well as costs of £85, a surcharge of £148, a total of £602.
