Wiltshire Air Ambulance will host a charity valuation day in Salisbury featuring a Flog It! star.

On Sunday, September 29, Paul Martin, star of BBC’s Flog It! will come to Salisbury Guildhall for the charity event.

Paul is the head of valuations at Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd, who will have their team on site to run their eyes over the prized possessions at the event in Salisbury.

Paul and other experts will use their expertise to value the items for a suggested donation of £2 per item (max three items per person on the day).

Any items that go on to be sold through Devizes-based Henry Aldridge & Son will also benefit Wiltshire Air Ambulance, as the auction house is generously donating all of its vendors’ commission to the charity.

Andrew Aldridge, the fourth generation auctioneer to head up Henry Aldridge & Son, said: “We are delighted to be working with Wiltshire Air Ambulance again at this community valuation event, following the huge success in Devizes earlier this year.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to pick the brains of one of our experts and, if they wish, sell their item or items through Henry Aldridge & Son during two days of auctions for antiques, collectables and silver on October 25 and 26. Then, 100 per cent of the sellers’ commission will be going to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a local charity that is so close to our hearts.”

Wiltshire Air Ambulance fundraising manager Fraser Normington said: “We’re very thankful to Paul and Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd for organising this second Valuation Day of the year.

“It’s great that we’re able to take it south of the county into Salisbury and I’m sure it will prove just as popular as in March.

“We look forward to seeing everyone there and hopefully it raises lots of money for those getting their items valued and also our lifesaving service.”

It follows on from a similar event held in Devizes back in March, which helped to raise £2,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s lifesaving work.

The latest Valuation Day will be held at The Guildhall on Sunday, September 29, from 10am-4pm and entry is free.

Pre-booking entry is highly recommended to avoid queuing on the day, with two timed entry options of 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm.
