A HAYSTACK fire is thought to have been started deliberately as two suspects fled the scene.
Emergency services rushed to Larkhill just before 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, August 20, to reports of a large haystack fire.
Wiltshire Police now believe the fire was started deliberately by two unknown suspects.
The pair fled the scene as Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service arrived to control the blaze.
Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a large haystack fire in Larkhill at 1.50pm today, August 20.
"The fire is believed to have been set deliberately by two unknown suspects who fled the scene as Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service arrived to control the blaze.
"Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to get in touch with police quoting 54240098160 via 101 or the online reporting form."
