Exhibition of trio of Salisbury artists work opening next month

Entitled Triple Vision, the exhibition will take place from Saturday, September 7 to Saturday, October 5.

Featuring work from David Walker, Scarlet Leatham and Geraldine McLoughlin, the show hopes to excite the interest of viewers and highlight the variety and joy of art.

David Walker combines his passions of photography and travel to reflect on the social infrastructure of cultures, focusing on the development of street art and how it grows organically within existing environments.

He said: “I love walking around the streets of London or New York (my favourite city in the world and truly a photographer paradise) and stumbling on some of the most amazing images you could imagine”.

Scarlet Leatham celebrates colour, light and form in relation to nature and architecture.

She enjoys observing subjects from a different viewpoint, looking for details in her surroundings both natural and man-made.

She said: “I am a firm believer that you can find beauty or interest in everything around you if you only take the time to look closely enough.”

Meanwhile, Geraldine McLoughlin’s glass works are influenced by conservation, earth patterns and water in all of its forms.

Her current focus is on working with kiln-formed and cast glass, which she says “provides an unmatched opportunity for innovation.”

All three artists are members of Salisbury’s visual arts network Plain Arts and have exhibited their works both locally and more widely.

Fisherton Mill will be hosting a “Meet the Artist” day each Saturday of the exhibition from 11am to 3pm.
