A popular village pub just a short drive from Wiltshire's famous Stonehenge is preparing to reopen with new owners.
The Swan in Enford, just north of Netheravon, closed its doors just after Christmas 2023 when the former owners decided it was time for a change.
The community who see the pub as the heart of the village were 'devastated' to see the doors closed.
But six months on, new operations manager Hannah Timperley is preparing to get the pints flowing.
The Swan will formally reopen to the public on Friday, August 2 from 6pm, with a hog roast, music and a bar to celebrate.
"I'm the operations manager of the food business taking over The Swan, and we're a new business but very ambitious," Hannah told the Gazette and Herald.
"I've worked for 28 years in the food industry in various roles and I first started as a pot wash when I was just 15.
"Since then I've done front-of-house roles, and I worked as a butcher up until about three weeks ago, so it feels nice to be returning to my roots in front of house."
The Melksham manager admits she is not an Enford local right now, but has been living in Wiltshire for over 10 years and has been a customer at The Swan in the past.
"When it came up for sale in January/February time it just seemed like a really good opportunity," she explained.
"I have a really good relationship with the previous owners.
"Having gotten through Covid and the last few years I know it's been a tough time for them, so they were ready to move on.
"When we open, the pub will be pretty much the same as it used to be. There is still a lot that has to be done here but I think the community just needs the pub open and running."
Despite maintaining the same warm community feel, The Swan has been decked out with new garden furniture, and a lot of work has gone into giving the garden a mini-makeover.
At the time of writing, The Swan is currently still without a head chef, but Hannah has reassured the public that the pub will be offering a limited lunch and dinner menu which will expand in future.
"We're hoping to branch out and do more than The Swan one day as well," said Hannah.
"But for now we're just looking to provide people with a casual but quality experience."
