A VAN driver must pay more than £500, two years after he was caught speeding in Bournemouth.
Alan Michael Hicks, of Avon Terrace, Salisbury, sped through an automatic camera on the A347 Wimborne Road at 36 miles-per-hour on July 10, 2022.
The 63-year-old pleaded not guilty to speeding along the 30 miles-per-hour limit road in a Fiat Panel Van on October 31 last year.
But Hicks was proved guilty in his absence at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 26, more than two years after the offence.
Magistrates fined Hicks and ordered him to pay court costs of £200 as well as an £88 surcharge to fund victim services.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
