As the summer holidays begin, roads can be busier than ever in and around Salisbury.

We've put together a list of the planned road closures that may impact your commute over the upcoming weeks, as listed by National Highways.

  1. A36, from 7am July 22 to 3pm August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 South Newton, traffic lights installed by Chevron to rebuild a wall (third party work).
  2. A36, from 9pm July 25 to 6am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster services Rbt to Cley Hill Rbt, two-way traffic lights for electrical works.
  3. A303, from 7pm July 29 to 6am August 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Longbarrow to Countess roundabout closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion for eastbound, closure via A360, B3086, The Packway, A345.
  4. A303, from 8pm July 29 to 5am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Cow Drove junction, multiway traffic lights for electrical works.
  5. A36, from 8pm July 31 to 6am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Salisbury, lane closure on St Marks Roundabout and approaches for traffic signal repairs.
  6. A303, from 6pm August 3 to 9am August 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound and eastbound, Countess to Longbarrow roundabout closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion for westbound via A345, The Packway, B3086 and A360. Diversion for eastbound, closure via A360, B3086, The Packway, A345.
  7. A36, from 9.30am to 5pm on August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 South Newton, traffic lights installed by Wessex Water.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
