Two schools near Salisbury have achieved the Wiltshire Healthy Schools accreditation, a council scheme to promote healthy living amongst pupils.

This programme, championed by Wiltshire Council, focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

It works by adopting a school-wide approach and teaching Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education to help foster healthy lifestyle choices and optimise learning.

The accrediting schools have showcased their contributions to a local multi-agency group, detailing their provisions and the impact of these on their pupils' health.

Schools can pursue accreditation on three distinct tiers: bronze, silver, or gold, beginning with bronze.
