A HEADTEACHER has suddenly left her job at Sarum Academy.
The shock departure of Jen Moore was announced on Tuesday evening, July 23, just a day after she left the school for the last time.
Richard Clarke has stepped in as the acting headteacher of Sarum Academy, in Bemerton Heath, and director of education Jonathan Curtis will support him.
Magna Learning Partnership CEO Ian Tucker assured parents that there were no safeguarding issues involving Mrs Moore or the leadership at Sarum Academy.
In a letter addressed to parents and carers, Mr Tucker wrote: "We understand this news will come as a shock to you and the wider community served by Sarum Academy.
"Please be assured that Magna Learning Partnership is committed to supporting the academy during this time."
Magna Learning Partnership did not confirm or deny whether Mrs Moore was fired when approached by the Journal.
The group also said it would not be making any further comments on Mrs Moore's departure.

Mr Tucker thanked Mrs Moore for her "invaluable contributions" to the Sarum community.
Sarum Academy retained its 'good' judgement from Ofsted following inspections in February last year.
Mrs Moore previously commented: "I am delighted that the inspection team recognise the tremendous work that goes on at Sarum and the praise for our pupils is a pleasure to read.
"Our school continues to grow in popularity and consequently in size. As a result, we are now able to offer an increasingly wide range of opportunities to our young people."
