An international electronic design and manufacturing business is supporting the creation of a Fordingbridge school's new garden.
With its head office in Fordingbridge, business Corintech Limited donated £500 towards the new kitchen garden at The Burgate School and Sixth Form.
The garden will improve the ecology and biodiversity in the school grounds and enhance the student experience for all pupils.
In some summer sunshine, members of Corintech met deputy head Ben Clemson, and the eco school lead Kirsten Bate with members of the school’s Eco Club who have created a new garden adjacent to the food tech classroom.

Corintech’s sustainability officer Emma Goddard said: “The students in the Eco Club have worked hard in creating a beautiful, tranquil space that will contribute towards the wellbeing of students and teachers, as well as the local ecosystem, and the school’s overall environmental program."
Eco Club members will enjoy the well-known therapeutic effects of gardening, and keen chefs will have the opportunity to benefit from the garden produce, particularly the herbs that can be included in freshly cooked meals and dishes.
Martin Skinner, Corintech’s managing director, officially opened the new Kitchen Garden at in Fordingbridge.
The raised beds have a mixture of herbs, vegetables, fruit, flowers and companion plants, along with an apple tree that is already bearing fruit.
