FOOTAGE of a man being arrested on suspicion of murder has been released after he was jailed for 30 years.
Maurice Jones, 25, was intercepted by armed police officers in Woodside Road roughly an hour after he stabbed Tsvetomir Genov, 20, to death in front of his baby boy near Gainsborough Close on August 22, 2023.
By this point, Jones had discarded his trousers and the 21cm carving knife which he used to kill Mr Genov.
The convicted killer proceeded to lie to the police and tell officers his name was 'Reece John'.
Jones was searched, arrested on suspicion of murder and spent 329 days in custody before he was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 30 years at Salisbury Crown Court on Thursday, July 18.

Upon sentencing Jones, His Honour Judge Timothy Mousley said: "This was a murder borne out of your completely unfounded feelings of jealousy and your violent nature.
"It was a ferocious and brutal attack in which you stabbed him repeatedly."
"You are a very jealous man and you were intent on removing Mr Genov from his son's life.
"You are 25 now, you have some mental health issues notably low intelligence; that provides little to any excuse in your actions of killing Mr Genov."
