International cellist star Frances Bartlett will host unique and immersive experiences at Hale Park this summer.
The Redlynch-born musician, acclaimed for her performances throughout Europe, will present two activities on Saturday, July 20.
The first, Aroma Space: Align With Pine, combines an aromatic experience with music from 3pm to 6pm.
Ms Bartlett, who is also the co-founder of EssènciesCat, a Spanish artisan essential oil distillery, will aim to incorporate the symbology and language of pine essential oils with music.
The three-hour workshop is designed for those wishing for enhanced psychological and physical balance, those who are suffering from loneliness, fatigue, depression and anxiety, as well as for those who wish to deepen their connection with nature.
It will be followed by a guided tour of Hale Park led by the resident owner, Sloan Hickman.
Participants will learn about artisan distillation and the sustainable use of essential oils, the therapeutic qualities of two types of pine essential oil, and how to incorporate contemplation of the whole plant into their medicinal experience.
Throughout the workshop, participants will experience 'becoming Pine' through meditation, visualisation and gentle breathing techniques.
This is intended to foster a deeper connection to nature and help to restore resilience, openness and strength.
The daytime activities will be followed with a free entry to the concert, Dream Me Green.
It will take place in St Mary's Church, on the Hale Park Estate, at 7pm.
The songs are based on Ms Bartlett's Dream Me Green, a collection of songs composed for cello & voice, including ricercadas by D. Gabrielli and other short baroque preludes and inventions.
Ms Bartlett, who grew up through the ranks of the Salisbury Area Young Musicians and the Salisbury and Wiltshire Youth Orchestras, has an international career based near Barcelona.
She combines her musical skills with her co-founded aromatics business to help people connect with nature and foster emotional healing.
All participants of Ms Bartlett's workshop will also receive a PDF document detailing the properties and uses of the two pine oils, a recorded digital audio of a pine olfactive meditation, and two 1ml bottles of wild Pinus halipensis and Pinus silvestres artisan essential oils.
Concert tickets are priced at £20 per person.
