A junior school's football team from Ringwood has been celebrating following the end of a 'successful season'
Ringwood Junior School's football team, consisting of 8 players from Year 6, have enjoyed a successful season.
During their first outing, the team of youngsters won a local New Forest and Bournemouth tournament meaning they qualified for the Premier League Primary Stars national finals, where they would represent AFC Bournemouth.

The finals were held at Brentford FC's Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday, June 12. The team were in a group alongside Tottenham FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Luton Town.
They played exceptionally well, not losing any games or conceding any goals in their group games. Despite the team's best efforts, they finished second in the group and missed out on reaching the semi-final by one point.

The school said despite missing out on the semi-final, the players should be 'very proud of their achievements this season and should look back on a great season with fond memories'.
A spokesperson for the school added: "Everyone at Ringwood Junior School is very proud of the team."
Mr Dunningham, Year 6 leader, said "The players have performed so well this season and deserve immense credit for their achievements."
