Tickets are still on sale for Summer Spectacular at Little Durnford Manor for the Celebrate Voice Festival.
The gala show presents opera and show songs, amidst the rolling countryside in the Woodford Valley on Saturday, July 13 from 5.30pm.
This festival fundraiser has become a prominent musical and social event in Salisbury’s summer calendar, as guests are invited to picnic in the beautiful grounds, enjoy performances from international singers and even enjoy a parade of the camels at intermission.
The event has sold out every year for the past five years.
As twilight falls, the concert takes on a magical ambience, as the Manor House is spectacularly illuminated within the valley surroundings. Celebrate Voice is delighted to make a return to the exclusive venue, courtesy of the Earl and Countess of Chichester.
This year’s event features South Korean tenor, Jung Soo Yun - in the UK for a short time, Stephanie Windsor Lewis (mezzo), Lara Marie Müller (soprano), Sam Young (baritone) alongside regular hosts Lynsey Docherty and Philip Smith. Conducted by David Gostick with the Celebrate Voice Ensemble.
The launch event of Celebrate Voice’s season, this fundraising gala will also announce the programme line-up for the Celebrate Voice 2024 Festival which takes place a Salisbury’s Guildhall from October 30 to 9 November 9.
Celebrate Voice Director, Lynsey Docherty said: "This concert is a season highlight, not only for the quality artists featured, but we also showcase young talent, this year with Bishop Wordsworth School Choir, and young adults with SEND who have participated in our joyful workshops during the year. It is a complete celebration of the beauty and connectivity of music, in the most stunning location imaginable."
