Today marks the start of the Chalke History Festival, with attendees and organisers in high spirits ahead of what promises to be an event to remember.
Formerly known as Chalke Valley History Festival, the event has changed its name for 2024, with Monday, June 24 marking the return of the biggest and most successful history festival in the UK, which will run until Sunday, June 30.
Famous faces appearing at the festival include The Grand Tour's James May, comedian Al Murray and presenter Michael Palin.
On the agenda across the course of the week-long festival will be talks, performances, experiences and living history exhibits, as well as children's activities and live music.
