A HUGE fire broke out at a recycling centre in Ringwood with multiple fire crews called to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters arrived at Somerley Household Waste Recycling Centre, on Verwood Road in Ringwood, at 11.44pm on June 18.
Four fire engines were initially called from Verwood, Ferndown and Ringwood, along with two support appliances from Poole, but further assistance was needed.
On arrival a fire was found within one of the rubbish cells which was “well alight.”
Further water carriers were called from Ringwood and Eastleigh alongside fire engines from Fordingbridge and Burley.
Four main lines were used to extinguish the fire and the incident was left open for the fire service to re-inspect the following morning.
However, the stop was received at 9.04am on June 19 and the cause is unknown.
