Fordingbridge Museum will present an illustrated talk by Dr Gale Pettifer from the New Forest Association.
The presentation will encourage the audience to look at the New Forest from a range of different perspectives, taking place on Friday, June 14.
The aim of the talk is to remind people what a special place the New Forest is. and why it continues to need all the help it can get.

It will cover the history of the forest, the landscape, the wildlife, the work that goes on in it and the people who sustain it. It will also look at the future of the forest and the work being done to recover lost landscapes.
Chairman of the Friends of Fordingbridge Museum, Jon Ingham, said: “The talk is aimed at people who love the Forest and would like to know more about it.

"It will also be of great interest to newcomers to the area who might like to learn about the great national asset that we have on our doorstep.”
The talk will be held at Avonway Community Centre in Fordingbridge. It starts at 7.30pm on Friday, June 14, and tickets are £10, including light refreshments.
